Week 5 Thing 13 Google Docs

This application is a great tool to use for communication. I am a Core Leader at my school and plan on using this tool to communicate with my colleagues. We can create spreadsheets to track data concerning our common assessments. This will be used to help generate disscussion about best practice in the classroom. This has been the most useful application I have explored yet.

Week 5 Thing 12 Wiki

I think the Wiki is a better tool for me to use in my classroom. I like the fact that students can edit your Wiki. I plan on using it as a Math Graffiti activity. Students will log on to my Wiki and edit the Homepage one step at a time. Then they will use the sidebar to explain the step that they did on the homepage.

Week 4 Thing 11 Wordle vs. TagCrowd

Both of these sites use word list to create a unique word picture. Wordle allows you to do more the the word picture such as color. Wordle also is more reader friendly. I could create a word picture and share with the class and have them brainstorm on what words they recognize and can define.
